Cut Flower Care: Why Flowers Don’t Just Die At 5280Flowers, we often hear that flowers “died too fast”—but in most cases, it’s not the flowers, it’s how they’re cared for after delivery. Cut flowers need fresh water, cool temperatures, and clean environments to last. Different blooms have different lifespans: tulips or dahlias may last 3–5 days, while alstroemeria or lilies can go strong for over a week. A little maintenance—like changing water, trimming stems, and avoiding sunlight or fruit—can make a big difference. Your flowers are alive, and with just a few simple steps, they’ll stay fresher and brighter longer. Trust us, they’re not just “dying”—they’re asking for a little care.
